Thanks.  Whatever setting it may be, this issue does occur when not a single thing has been touched after installation of Brave.

I really like things as they work with the default settings, so I'll still be using an alternative web browser on those rare occasions where I have a specific website that doesn't play well with Brave.  It is just so rare, but occurs in certain classes of websites for the most part, that even reporting it is something I've not been motivated to do (which is an exception to the general rule).
