I do find it a little annoying that during holds etc, the audio is completely silent. Its a pity they

Gene,
No argument from me. I still use desktop shortcuts, just not to the extent that I once did.

I hope our messages encourage more use of the start menu. However, I disagree about desktop shortcuts. If I'm on the desktop, typing ta will get me to tapin Radio faster than using the start

Hi, Gene,
This is very useful information. I use the start menu often to start programs or a particular setting. Thanks for sharing this with us.

Re: The usefulness of the start menu search in Windows
The start menu search in modern Windows is really indispensable once you use it, and I can honestly say that there was a time when I did not.
I barely use desktop shortcuts anymore because it's so

The usefulness of the start menu search in Windows
This message discusses the usefulness of the Start Menu Search. It is my strong impression that most people don't use it nearly to its advantage.
I may not have said this here before

Hi all,
I am in India and could certainly play the legislation card. However, I will not need to do that. Does anyone have any input on my original question?

Hi Dave,
Yes, the IT department will allow the Braille display.
I am still wondering about how I am going to use it though.

The first thought on this is the question of your companies IT Department. Have you checked to make sure they will allow the Braille Display and it's software? I don't know if things have changed

Re: Getting to the "heading row buttons" in Thunderbird mailbox windows (Tbird V102)
I think this function is of more interest to those using it for Newsgroups. Shame that this mapping cannot be done, a way like in toolbars explorer would be nice.

These aren't identified by screen-readers as buttons. I can use object navigation to move to the different headers you are talking about. I hadn't paid attention to what was spoken before,

Re: Getting to the "heading row buttons" in Thunderbird mailbox windows (Tbird V102)
Gene,
I mean that if I want to sort by Subject, how do I get to the Subject button, which is, in fact, positioned as the column header above all the subjects for a mailbox.
You can't flip sort order,

I'm not sure what you are asking. I haven't heard that term regarding Thunderbird. Do you mean how to do things like change the order of headers such as unread, has attachment, or something
