Thunderbird Portable
Carlos
Hello, How does one go about creating a portable version of TB? Unlike other programs TB does not come in a portable version that can be run as a USB version without having to install on a PC.
Again, Thank You To all who will take the time to answer my query! 😎 |

There is a completely portable version of Thunderbird. You can see
a download link for the current version and older versions on this
page.

https://sourceforge.net/projects/portableapps/files/Mozilla%20Thunderbird%2C%20P.E./ If you see discussion on Portable Apps pages about an installer, you don't have to worry about it. I don't know enough about the installer to discuss it but all portable programs from Portable Apps are exe files. When you run them, they don't install the program. True portable programs aren't installed. The files are extracted and placed in the location you specify or in the default location specified by the program. Once the files are wherever they are, you can copy the folder anywhere and run the program from anywhere, including any removable media. I install and configure the program on my computer for convenience. After it is configured, meaning any settings changes made, my accounts set up, my address book imported or in your case, all you would have to do is copy the Profile folder from your installed version to the correct place in the portable version, after everything is set up and the program is working as I want, then I copy it wherever I want, on or off my computer. Gene On 7/7/2022 3:51 PM, Carlos wrote:

I just downloaded the v91 release from there, I'll try it when I get some time free.
