A technical discussion subgroup
Gene
Since topics not related to NVDA are going to be
required to be on a subgroup, those of a technical nature should go to a
technical discussion subgroup. As matters currently stand, this group is
both for chat and for technical discussion. I can't speak for others, but
I don't want to be on a chat group. I am willing to be on and assist
people on a technical discussion subgroup and the two shouldn't be
combined.
One reason I didn't join the chat subgroup sooner
is because I didn't want to open myself to chat on any topic to be able to help
those with technical questions or problems. For now, I'll stay on this
list and see if it is mostly tech or mostly general chat.

If you want a quick look at what's been typical so far, hop over to the Chat Subgroup archive: https://nvda.groups.io/g/chat/topics
It's mostly technical. Using Mute This Topic and/or Topic Preview setup should take care of any strays you don't wish to see after the first message. -- Brian - Windows 10 Home, 64-Bit, Version 1809, Build 17763 I cannot and will not cut my conscience to fit this year’s fashions . . . ~ Lillian Hellman, Letter to House Un-American Activities Committee, 5/19/1952 |

We'll see how things develop. There are only
about 68 members so far. What may happen as membership
increases?

Hi all! I really like the chat group! Come on over! It is so much better to put the posts that belong on the main NVDA list, and go to the chat group, and still talk about NVDA but in a different way, and we can talk more about different programs, and do it in more of an informal manner, and we can help each other more over there, without cluttering up the main NVDA list! I really hope that people take advantage of both groups! Have a great one, all! David Moore Sent from Mail for Windows 10
