Call for upvotes and comments
I am posting this in the Chat Subgroup both because it's not NVDA related and it's not blindness related, but applies more to those with visual impairments who can still access a screen with modifications as needed.
For years end users, and not just end users with visual impairments, have been begging Microsoft to add the capability to change the text selection color as well as the actual color of the selected text. The defaults are a pale transparent gray selection color and text remains black. This is very, very difficult for anyone with even minimal visual impairment to pick out easily and it drives many sighted users mad as well. I finally broke down and added a feedback item for MS-Word: Word needs to allow the end user to change BOTH selection background color and text color when selecting text Anyone so inclined should feel free to upvote that feedback and add comments. If you wish to share that feedback link in other blind or low vision tech forums, along with my preface (or your own) as to what it's all about feel free to do so. The more upvotes and comments any given piece of feedback gets makes it more probable that it will gain the attention of those who can make those changes happen. -- Brian - Windows 10, 64-Bit, Version 22H2, Build 19045 There are two novels that can change a bookish fourteen-year-old's life: The Lord of the Rings and Atlas Shrugged. One is a childish fantasy that often engenders a lifelong obsession with its unbelievable heroes, leading to an emotionally stunted, socially crippled adulthood, unable to deal with the real world. The other, of course, involves orcs. ~ John Rogers |

For those who may prefer the main Windows Feedback Hub, I have also created that same feedback there:
