Help for Groups.io

There are three main sources for help on Groups.io, the first of which does not involve humans, and is about as nauseatingly detailed as one could ever hope (or, perhaps, fear) but the page is well organized and easily searchable:  Groups.io Help Page.   I seldom use this except for doing my initial checks before asking a question on one of the two groups I'm about to mention.

The "general purpose" help for Groups.io groups is called, unsurprisingly, Group_Help.  You can get additional information, plus all of the primary and some of the secondary addresses for interacting with it by e-mailing:  Group_Help+help@groups.io

The "high intensity" help group, which has group owners and moderators as its primary audience, is the Group Managers Forum.  Anyone can join.  This group has every single message moderated, but the Group Managers Forum Group Archive is open for anyone to read, and often contains some useful information regarding deep dives into Groups.io functionality.  You can get additional information, plus all of the primary and some of the secondary addresses for interacting with it by e-mailing:  GroupManagersForum+help@groups.io

These are the places that I turn to, in order, when questions specific to Groups.io itself, and that often apply to any group rather than any single one, arise.  I hope they may prove helpful to others as they have to me.

Brian,
Thanks for this. I subscribed to Group_Help.

About the other list, is it really a high traffic one? I saw there are over 3.000 topics and over 1.000 members. Maybe I could join there as well for learning purposes, but I'd like to know a bit more of the list if it's possible.

Cheers,

Marcio,

Group_Help is generally very, very low traffic and pretty consistently.   The Group Manager's forum is significantly higher in traffic, but it's still nothing compared to a group such as the NVDA group, or even this chat subgroup over the last several days.

Neither one should result in more than 10 messages a day, maximum, and rarely.  If you get more than that it's an uncharacteristically busy period and will not last.

I actually in my humble opinion would not subscribe to the forums one as that is for forum owners. If you are. a forum owner such as myself then yeah go ahead but if not I would not as you might get board easily.

Well, I actually have a group, which has at most me and one more person. As you see, I'm not a group owner. LOL
However, as I said, I joined for learning purposes :)
