I have a strange problem. I can't add new podcast services to My Google home. I use Google nest speaker. Have You same issue?

I have a friend with two of these, but each were set up on a different phone as one was bought second hand, I suspect she says she cannot do this either, because the account details are different and she does not have control of that phone any more, the usual way out with most smart speaker issues is to reset it and re set it up on the new account which is the same as the old unit then should work.
