Dear Keao & List:
Greetings from Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. High temperature. Today was forecast
to be 37 F. However temporary. May have only reached 35 F. Ottawa is capital
of Canada. Has many things regular cities do not have, such as big diesel
motors to run the pumps at the waterworks in the event of a power
interruption. Winter temperature. Here can reach -30 F. at -400 F. the
Centigrade & Fahrenheit scales meet. This is the temperature inside an ice
cream factory or cold storage locker service. Where are you in the Aloha
state?

When reception conditions are right, I can pick up both the WWV time station
in Boulder, Colorado and WWVH in Honolulu, Hawaii. The announcer in Boulder
is male, called Boulder Bill. The one in Honolulu is female, called Pearl.
It is women first at National Bureau of Standards! Pearl does her station ID
first just before the hour, followed by Boulder Bill.

Welcome too chat@nvda.groups.io I too am a ham radio operator, VVE3YI is my
Canadian call sign, AB2JI is my U. S. call sign. I am a Canadian and while
attending the ACB Convention in Tulsa, Oklahoma several years ago, wrote the
U. S. license exams, went from non-US licensed to Advance in one evening.
Wrote the Amateur Extra class exam when the end of the 20 WPM cw requirement
was on the horizon and made a trip to the U. S. to present my certificate of
successful completion of exam a few months later. Am retired from the Public
Service of Canada, where I was a Revenuer, working for Canada's Income Tax
Section. Then was a computer programmer, working on big IBM mainframe
computers. Have been retired since 2005, took an early retirement for health
reasons.

This list seems to be a friendly place.

I use JAWS as my main screen reader but also have NVDA if JAWS crashes and I
want better screen reading than Narrator provides.
