Using Cut points in MP3 Direct Cut
Gene
This discussion started on the main list and I'm moving it here.
I have seen two people on different lists say that using cue points with MP3 Direct cut is faster and easier in splitting a file than marking a setment, saving it, then deleting it, marking another segment, etc. I'm not sure if it is marginally faster or easier but I don't think it is much. You still have to rename all the segments if you create them with cue points. Therefore, I see little improvement in using them then by marking a segment and saving it with the name you want at the time, compared with going back and changing the names of the cue points after they have been saved. I found the comparison interesting. I had never worked with cue points before and I wasn't aware of just how you do it until a list member explained it. I had thought there would be little saving in time and effort and comparing confirmed what I thought. Gene |

I don't want to neglect to say that I appreciate the suggestion to
use cue points from the person who made it. I know about them but I
had never looked into how to use them and it was interesting to try
using them after seeing the explanation.
