Hi Pascal,

I don’t see that on my systems.

Try the same with narrator to see if it is NVDA related. Use Windows-Enter to start and stop narrator.

Subject: [nvda] NVDA is sluggish

Hi,

I am experiencing the following.  Anyone noticed the same?

When I delete a file, NVDA states “processing” and nothing happens for a long time.

When I hit the backspace to back out of a folder, the same thing happens.

When I load Firefox or IE11, NVDA states “blank” and sits there for a while.  Sometimes I just don’t wait and relaunch the browser.

At times it refuses to open fields in a form I am filling out. This is particularly frustrating when it is a financial form within my bank home page.

Are these things Win10 related or NVDA.  I am using the latest version of both.

Any suggestion is greatly appreciated.

Blessings

Pascal

I experienced this issue especially with Firefox from nvda 2015.4 through 2016.3 running windows 7 home premium 64 bit.

Yes, I experience this semi-regularly, particularly in Firefox, where I often have to alt-tab away and back to get pages to work.

Hello,

I'd like to ask if anyone else is also experiencing the following phenomenon:

Sometimes when alt+tabbing to another application or when another application opens and gets focus, this is not immediately announced. NVDA+t will speak something else such as "Explorer" or "Program Manager". When I then hit tab, focus is again tracked and announced.

Is this a known issue? I couldn't find anything related on Github but I thought I'd ask around if others are running into it.
Kind regards,

Felix
