Re: reading underlined words in NVDA

Go to the NVDA menu, to Preferences, then Settings. Arrow down to Document settings, and press Tab. There, you should find options to have NVDA read you whatever formatting you want. Most of these are checkboxes. You can tab through them and press the spacebar to select the ones you want. When you're done, press the OK button. I hope that helps.

I'm not at all clear on what you're asking.

That being said, go to document formatting settings in NVDA and you can select what gets reported to you as far as formats applied when they're encountered.
