I have also come across this half check thingy before.  Sorry, I don’t remember where it was.  But it didn’t make much sense to me either.  Marilyn

I have no idea, but if you have a non-private file where you could share a screenshot of the properties dialog where this is being announced, I'd be happy to take a look.

The whole concept of "half-checked" for a single checkbox makes no sense at all to me.
