Thanks everyone for the inputs! * I did have Automatically set system focus to focusable elements enabled and turning it off seems to fix the issue at least in LinkedIn Messaging - I appreciate it as always, Tony! * Luke, I can't think off a publicly accessible webpage right this moment which has a clean STR (LinkedIn Messaging is a good test case for me because you just need a chat history with a few messages and need to arrow through them until NVDA throws you into focus mode). Also, Gene's message clarifies the behaviour of the Automatic focus mode for focus changes options. * While I haven't used Chrome much, I don't remember running into this issue too much (or possibly at all) in Edge.
