Hi, Quentin,

I am also deeply troubled by this problem, how to advance NV Access to solve this problem? Do you have any suggestions for this?

Thanks

Hi Sylvie,

Good question. Currently there is no notification that a slide has notes other than switching between the regular content and the notes. If you have notes which cover the content of every slide, you can set it to read notes and simply stay in that mode for the whole presentation.

There is an issue requesting "has notes" or similar be reported when navigating the slideshow. Feel free to add additional comments to that issue here: https://github.com/nvaccess/nvda/issues/8049

Kind regards

Quentin.

Hello all,

I have a question regarding the use of Powerpoint with NVDA.

The user guide does not provide much information about this.

When you have a powerpoint presentation containing notes to presenters, it is possible to display these notes by pressing ctrl+Shift+S.

Do you know if there is a way to be informed by NVDA that such notes are available?

Otherwise, you have to switch from the slide to the notes. If there are no notes, NVDA does not say anything.

As a consequence, it would be quicker to be informed, that notes are available as it is a case with JAWS.

Or is there a setting I have not found to get this information?

Thank you in advance if you have any hints on this.

Best

Sylvie
