For some reason, I can't get past the initial verification screen using Edge so I can't try the site with it.

I doubt Edge is the problem, both Edge and Brave are Chrome-based browsers.  but if my method of solving the problem doesn't work, which I gave in my last message, you may want to try another browser.

If this solves the problem, it is another demonstration of my contention that it is better to manually switch modes rather than have NVDA set to do so and have it do so automatically.
