I've personally never needed to have more than 2 files open at once so it's easy to switch between them. I do this if I want to insert a sound or mix one sound with another but have never had a need for more than 2 at once.

OK suppose you have opened 4 files. How do you switch between them on the fly? Control+tab? I liked the number system because you could get a better handle on what order the files are in, thus moving quickly between File1 and File4 for instance.

I don't have a problem with the way its done now myself. I am normally looking for a file name and do not use numbers so I'd see no sense in using numbers to select each file in the program.

I prefer to implement this if and only if GoldWave itself supports this.

Joseph and listers, especially those of you guys involved in the
Goldwave's AddOn; what came of the suggestion of Alt+numbers to cycle
quickly between currently-opened files? I've got GoldWave 5.7, and wonder if
this were to be implemented, would this be available in my version of
GoldWave? The AddON I'm running with NVDA is version GoldWave; Estado:
