When it comes right down to it, based on the way Microsoft is updating Windows 10 over time and that you will eventually be on the latest version unless Windows Update is broken, my response is always get the latest version of Windows 10. At a minimum you'll be experiencing the same issues as everyone else.
Same for NVDA - the latest stable release.
