Re: installing NVDA on a machine with Window-eyes already installed

Thanks guys, that's good to know.

I thought I remembered having trouble with this on a work computer once but that machine was a custom build of windows and probably the least stable thing I've ever used.

Will try the install this evening after class... just in case. :)

Cheers,

Sally

In my experience you will have no trouble with both NVDA and Window-Eyes installed side by side. The main problem you will have is that the doubled speech can be confusing if they are actually running at the same time.

Subject: [nvda] installing NVDA on a machine with Window-eyes already installed

Good morning list,

How much hassle am I asking for if I install NVDA on my laptop before uninstalling window-eyes? I'm hoping to do a soft transition but want to avoid software conflicts.

I would never actually run these simultaneously, obviously.

Suggestions welcome.

Thank you!

Sally
