i dont use touch and i am not familiar with it.
in the readme file of openoffice and libreoffice is mentioned that have some problems.
i only use keyboard and it has no problem.
which version of libreoffice do you use?
you can send log of the crash for developers if you use version 5.2.0 and later.

Due to a Windows driver issue, you cannot scroll through LibreOffice documents when you slide your finger across an ALPS/Synaptics touchpad.
To enable touchpad scrolling, add the following lines to the "C:\Program Files\Synaptics\SynTP\SynTPEnh.ini" configuration file, and restart your computer:

The location of the configuration file might vary on different versions of Windows.

You may well be able to turn it off using the system tray.
In the system tray, you will find something related to the touch pad
or the device being used. Mine says something like Synaptic pointing device.
Click the icon, you may have to experiment and see which click works,
and you are in a multipage dialog. I almost never have worked with it
but if you shift tab once, you will be in a place where you can right
arrow to see the different pages. Look for device settings. On mine,
it's the last item to the right so I can get there by pressing end.
Then, if you tab around, you will see an item that says disable. It's
a button. Press the space bar and then tab to and activate the ok button.
You can enable it in the same way. When you return to that part of
the dialog, you will see enable. But to avoid the inconvenience of
repeatedly disabling and enabling it, why not just buy or get an
external mouse and connect it when needed.
I have no idea if the crashing problem is caused by the touchpad. I
suspect things won't be that simple. Windows keeps a record of every
crash and having it looked at may provide the answer if a technically
knowledgeable person looks at it. If the touchpad solution doesn't
work, looking at the records may be the only way to find the problem.

Hi Jordy,
Do you happen to be using the mouse at all? LibreOffice hangs for me,
particularly when I move the mouse over things like the toolbar. If I
leave the mouse alone, it behaves.
I'm sure there's an issue for it, but I can't put my finger on it just now.
