Hi Brian,
I have reported this choking problem a while ago. I have an Intel processor and using the latest Win10 and latest NVDA version. It chokes when arrowing down in Outlooks 2013, and Firefox. It does the same when I hit the Ctrl key to silence the voice. Some times I have to hit the Ctrl key several times to shut it off. I also experience many delays when entering Outlook and in Firefox when entering my home page which is Yahoo.com/finance. The choking and prolonged silence are less noticeable when using Chrome. I have given up on using IE 11 as the choking and silences are so bad making the browser useless.

As a matter of interest, do you have an AMd processor or an intel one? Is it on board graphics oor a card?

I have had this experience as well. I thought it had something to do
with my own computer, but perhaps not.
