Re: How to make input gestures application-specific?

That is not very intuitive. May be the reason why the developers
haven't looked into this.

Hi,
In this case, the most important question: did the add-on author expose this
command in input gestures dialog? If so, then yes, you can change it there.
Cheers,
Joseph

I just wanted to change the input gesture where it conflicted without
changing it everywhere.

Why not just change the input gesture for all applications?

Then, how can I isolate an input gesture to just be used in one
application without going into making an add-on?

No. These changes are not tied to profiles.

Isn't that what changing the Input Gestures from the Preferences menu

Why don't you just change the overall shortcuts for the add-on?

Hello,

How do you change an input gesture in NVDA just for a particular
application?

I downloaded the Speech History add-on. As one of its commands, it
uses F12 to copy a string from the speech history to the clipboard.
But in Word, F12 brings up the Save As dialog. So, I want to alter
this input gesture just in Word to use Shift+F12 for the command
from the SpeechHistory add-on.

I tried making a separate profile in NVDA, but the change doesn't
seem to be linked to a specific configuration profile.

I am using Next builds of NVDA.

Thanks for your help.
