I thought we had answered that already. It is really up to you. Its not sanctioned by anybody in authority, but I've never heard of any bad ones being up there. I'm sure he takes such steps as needed to check them out if they aware not on the main site. You have to ask this question though. Often this may be because they are quite old or may have been written to get over a certain problem which is not mass market. However it is very easy in any kind of script language, to expose parts of the system to naughty people who want to get at your data, so you really have to make your own mind up at the time if its worth it.
