Re: Important advisory for today's next snapshot: if using Windows 10, disable OCR add-on

would you mind posting the link to the next snapshot. I looked on the
nvda website but I am having trouble finding it.

Hi,

This does not apply to anyone NOT using next snapshots (NVDA
menu/Help/About).

In short, this feature will allow NVDA to recognize screen text and present
the result in a document window.

Cheers,

Joseph

Can you please explain to me what I should do in my case with OCR?

Hi everyone,

The following advisory from the add-ons community is for people using NVDA
next snapshots on Windows 10:

Due to UWP OCR feature introduced in today's next snapshot, please disable
OCR add-on if you are on Windows 10 and using next snapshots. This is
because NVDA+R is now a native NVDA command to recognize text on screen
using a chosen OCR engine.

Cheers,

Joseph
