Re: Firefox has updated to 56 and its broken

Why did you install 54 when that version is
old? 56 is a beta. Why not install the latest nonbeta version?
Do you want to receive betas? If a beta doesn't work properly and you want
to revert, if the last nonbeta version workxz properly, which, presumably you
had before the beta upgrade, that's the one to go back to, not an older
vulnerable to security exploits version.
Also, while you had the beta installed, looking
around at the settings regarding how the program starts would have disclosed the
problem. Perhaps there is now a setting you can change to stop whatever is
showing and causing the focus problem. You said it is broken. It may
be or it may not be. It may be showing something many sighted people may
want to see that can be turned off.

broken I was prompted by firefox to update last night. On reinstalling an older version, in this case 54, the problem went away. Brian bglists@... Sent via blueyonder. It appears a bug needs to be filed. Which version of Firefox. Please send an actual number, with steps to reproduce. This seems serious.
