Yes that can get very annoying and I tend to just ignore messages from those who do that sort of thing constantly. Especially since they appear to also ignore responses and just cntinue to vacuously send the same message again and again. I recall on a different list one of these people was told to please stop doing that by someone who was obviously quite irritated by it. Hi could I ask that when you have comments on one thread, that you put them
into as few posts as possible. I know I've been accused of running off comments as if this is a chat line and it irritates others and generates lots of messages crossing over each other with similar content as well.
Make a mental note of replies in your thread and put them into one reply or
as few as possible. also do not change the meaning of a subject thread without trying to indicate in the subject line that its morphed a bit. I'm mindful of those who have to wade through these and may then mask out your messages and then never see one that might be relevant later on. I'm going back to sleep now. Brian

But your subject line asks what's the best voice for English. I don't know where you might get information about farsi voices. Does E-Speak support farsi? If so, there is a SAPI 5 version of ESpeak.
You could look up different synthesizers doing Google searches such as DecTalk farsi. But perhaps a better way in terms of efficiency to find something is to do a Google search for something like speech synthesizer farsi or free speech synthesizer farsi and see what results you get. You might change your subject line and ask the question again here. Your initial subject line may have caused those who may know about farsi to skip the question.

I just played a bit with the voices I mentioned in my last message. I had remembered incorrectly. They are both bad. I'm not sure f one is better than the other. Those who are curious can compare and see what you think. What synthesizers people like is subjective and quite variable but I consider these both to be quite poor quality.

it's not hard to fined something better than Microsoft Sam. That's not saying much, to say that a voice is better than one of the worst ones. I played with two free voices and I don't like either but they are better, as are most voices, than Microsoft Sam. The better of the two I played with is Softvoice. The worse of the two is Svox pico synthesizer. These are both NVDA Add Ons so and I think you said you want SAPI 5 voices. Being add ons, they are limited to NVDA. I believe a lot of the free voices on the NVDA page are add ons but I haven't looked at enough to know that, it's just my suspicion. I believe you said you want a voice to use with other programs than NVDA. If so, neither voice I discussed will be suitable.
All I can say is that you can look at the voices and see if any might meet your needs, then try them.
The NVDA page with voices is https://github.com/nvaccess/nvda/wiki/ExtraVoices

i should try. i did not test until now. which one did you test and mentioned its better than my current sapi5 voice sam?

Have you looked at the voicews on the NVDA page that lists a lot of voices? There are many free ones and many you pay for. I have no idea if you would consider any of the free ones satisfactory. I haven't tried many. The ones I've tried, I thought weren't very good but they may be bettter than what you are using now. And what people like in terms of speech is subjective and varies widely.

You'll probably have to buy other voices because you can't get microsoft Anna for XP. It only comes with windows 7.
