For my work, I see myself possibly testing Edge compatibility with web applications I help develop. Until last year, NV Access and others said people should use Edge for pilot testing purposes. This is no longer the case now: you can use Edge just like any other browser. You can use first letter navigation, elements list (much enhanced in the next release of NVDA) and what not. Regarding JAWS 2018 and Edge: yes and no. JAWS 2018 beta will work with Edge in Windows 10 Version 1703 (build 15063/Creators Update), but it won't work properly in Version 1709 (Fall Creators Update). Microsoft and VFO are aware of this problem and are working hard to resolve issues reported by testers. What I am looking for is if I need it for work, will Edge function with NVDA reasonably well, or should I use JAWS 2018 or Narrator? I just did not like Edge myself, preferring Firefox usability wise. Brian bglists@... Sent via blueyonder.
