For such as Word, adobe pdf  and Notepad documents I use the in-built search functions.  When using a browser, ensure you are in browse mode and use NVDA+Ctrl+f to open up the NVDA search dialog.  To do a find next after using this, press NVDA+f3, find previous is NVDA+shift+f3.

Is there a trick way to search for a word or phrase in a page or document?  I thought it might be just control f but it seems not?

Thanks.
