Hi,
I am using windows 10.
Here is what I do: I open the nvda menu go to tools hit I arrow down to instructions for wsr and hit enter. This is where I get the error. I hope this helps.

What do you mean by latest windows? Are you on Windows 7 or on Windows 10?
Please give me the exact steps you followed and the error you are getting.
