Apparently Microsoft have fixed the issue, but the fix won’t be released until December.

Hi there I’m new to NVDA and love it. Using the latest version and desktop Outlook on Office2016. If I switch from mail to calendar using CTRL+2 which is the shortcut key, Outlook crashes. This issue doesn’t happen if I tab to the navigation pane and move to Calendar there. This only happens with NVDA, not with JAWS or Narrator. Any thoughts?
