Did any windows updates install last night? The problem is often when somebody has removed office and then the updates update bits of affice a few months on and screw up the registration again. Is there a fixit for this on the Microsoft site?

It is likely that, for some reason one or more dll files have become unregistered. if your system restore is on and working and you have recent restore points, you may want to try restoring the system to a time before the problem started. But before trying that, there have been instructions issued on registering the file or files. Here is a discussion that may or may not solve your problem but in the course of the discussion registering certain files is discussed. https://github.com/nvaccess/nvda/issues/2807 Gene ----- Original Message ----- From: Rich De Steno Sent: Wednesday, April 20, 2016 4:14 PM To: nvda@nvda.groups.io Subject: Re: [nvda] NVDA Not Working on Web Sites I have not uninstalled anything in months. this inability to read any web pages with NVDA suddenly began this morning upon bootup. It was not present late last night when I shutdown. This is truly baffling and very frustrating. Rich De StenoOn 4/20/2016 3:45 PM, Carlos wrote:    Hello:    Whenever a program is uninstalled there is always the risk of unregistering .dll's.    MS Office has a number of accessibility related .dll's which when uninstalled will cause NVDA a lot of issues. That's why there should always be a restore point created and a image backup made of the drive.    hope this helps? On another system it did the same thing but when I loaded office 2013 it fixed the issue so removing office must have done something. The system is due for a full workout in august and strip down as its full of old programs and so in august I plan to strip it down and this will include a full reformat and refresh of the os. I have found no way to fix this issue and not even ms knows what to do. Everything else seems to work normally, such as Email, Notepad, TW Blue, and my other usual programs. I had a sighted person confirm that the web pages look normal and can be navigated normally with the mouse. It appears as if some keyboard change has taken place interfering with NVDA's functioning, but I cannot figure this one out. I am using the current version of NVDA and Windows 10. This occurs both in Firefox and IE.
