No not really, as they are by definition emulating a display form in graphics that looks like the old computer its emulating I know this is true as I was involved in one for the Spectrum some years ago, and no screenreader could see the graphic or text as both were merely pictures.
Now if we are talking games like adventures that were textual I have heard there are ways to make some of these work with a screenreader as they can be use in a kind of simulated dos mode. Don't ask me how though, as they are not of interest to me.
