Re: important to read before installing CCleaner

I didn't keep the message from the person who
discussed potentially unwanted programs In portable versions because I didn't
think I would have any comments. However, after reading the message, I
looked at information on the portable apps page for portable CDEX. The
following statement appears:
Online Installer: This is installer will download
CDex during setup.
Local Version Warning: The local version installer uses what is considered a malicious bundleware add-on that will be detected as such by several antivirus engines. The portable version downloads the local version installer but extracts the files from it without running the installer, protecting you from bundleware. The download may trigger a detection in your antivirus, however. If that is true for this
portable program, then I consider the danger of running installers for other
portable versions of programs to be unresolved.

CCleaner Avast shouldn't be installed and run if you are
already using another antivirus program.

CCleaner But chrome, to be honest when does stuff become unwanted if you use it. Like for example if you use avast, and or chrome, if it was bundled, its 1 less thing to load. Avast and chrome are not the issue, its all this opencandy stuff. Windows defender is supposed next month to be able to be more aggressive with scareware etc which sadly seems to be more false positives nad probably more targeting of the disabled, for games and other programs.
