Re: Phasing out of 7

Sam Bushman

I would be appreciative, I use zoom for lots of work meetings as well and think it works quite well, however any extra would be wonderful.

Thanks,

Sam

Exactly.  I wish more applications were so well thought out.

Maybe I might tackle righting a nvda addon for zoom to speak some of those messages other people were talking about.

I’ll put it on my list of todos.

I like that there are logical keyboard commands for everything. You don’t have to sit there going tab, tab, tab, tab, tab, which is one of my biggest peeves about using some programs.

Zoom Video and Audio are fantastic.  Also, Zoom developers have really gone way way above to make their platform accessible.

We use it at my work for conferencing. And we do a lot of it.

I think that JM is talking about Zoom, and audio quality with that program.

I beg to differ. The audio is crap! It was a lot better when Skype 6 and older was around.

The audio quality is quite good. I’ve had a couple of moments of distortion and break-up, but that could just be my internet connection. The screen-sharing feature also lets you share your computer’s audio output, which is kind of neat.

Zoom is accessible, as far as the interface goes. NVDA is missing something that enables it to speak messages, such as someone shares their screen, or someone left a room, or someone typed a message and what the message was. Narrator does this, however.

You can have meetings with two people, and you can speak with voice for free and time is unlimited. If you have more than 2 people in a meeting, your time is limited to 40 minutes. If you were to pay for a pro license, everything is unlimited.

I use the program regularly. They cover iPhone, Android, Windows, and Linux.
