I wonder how similar it is to the program I gave a link to.  That program was developed by Carlos, who ran a list and unexpectedly and very unfortunately died recently.  He wanted to make a very simple recording program with a loop back ability for blind people to use and he added a Windows GUI to what was a command line program.

its the official source forge page of virtual recorder before the
developer changed it into a screen capture recorder sometime back
2014.
So its the same program installer version.
BTW it saves the recording to the documents / virtual recorder folder.
