Re: scanner recommendation

Hi All,

I use the HP8715 Pro combined printer/scanner with a document feeder.  It comes with its own scanning software and its saves documents in Image PDF, RTF documents, and JPEG or TIF.  It can be setup as a wireless printer/scanner.  It also works with the HP instant ink program which costs $3 per month for 50 pages.  Options for more pages per month are available.  I had it for more than a year and I like it very much.

Does it use its own software for OCR, or does it come / did you buy it bundled with one of the commercial packages?

I have been very happy with my Epson Perfection V39 flat bed scanner. Gets its power from your usb port so no power supply needed.  Scans fast and accurate.
