Have you run the tool in the tools menu that is supposed to fix problems in the registry?
if that does not work then unless you are on windows 7 as I am wheree the new engine is very flaky, I'm stumped and you may find some help perhaps by raising a ticket. Have you used other qualantum versions successfully?

Yes, no links can be clicked.
when NVDA says something is a link, I can’t activate it.
