Re: Windows 10 Settings applet no longer accessible with NVDA

Hi Kevin,

Why would that have an affect? It's not an NVDA setting that's throwing it, I have completely uninstalled, removed that folder and reinstalled with the same effect.

All the best

Steve

Hi Steve, have you tried deleting the nvda directory under %appdata% I
doubt it will work, but worth a try you will need to do this with
another screen reader running. I am sure you know this let us know if
it works.

Why not use the latest version of nvda first, see if that works out for you?

Hi Joseph,

I have 2018.1.1 and no amount of opening or closing settings fixes it.

Hi,

Which version of NVDA do you have, and does reopening Settings app fix
the problem?

Cheers,

Joseph

Hi,

Using Windows 10 V1803, I notice that when you tab round in settings
now, none of the lists or tabs are voiced by NVDA at all. I do have
App Essentials installed.

Any thoughts? They are still voiced by JAWS.

Thanks.

All the best
