Yes, I guess there's something wrong at this end, because all other versions of Firefox I have, older and newer than 61.0.1, work great.

I suspect it is.  CTRL+D works perfectly under Firefox 61.0.1 on my machine, which is updating Firefox in response to my checking my current version number.
