I dono that would work, Arlene. Have you ever tried? I know that when
ITunes is installed, it puts things in the registry that correspond to the
initial folder it was installed to, so if you tried doing that by installing

to another folder, then those registry entries would fight back and forth.

You can instal the updated version of ITunes. But run it in a different
folder. If you find it doesn't work for you. Then go back to the old
version
after you uninstalled the new version.

I think you are right about not being able to go back once you've
upgraded, but to the best of my knoledge, you can put off the upgrade
as long as you like.
