late to the thread but if they are looking for some free synths and payed ones you can go to the following page at
They would then need to jump down by headings until they get to headings like speech platform synths and voices. That page is where you can download all differnt ones.
I can drop box the whole package if some one goes that way just let me know.
there is another speech hub but you must also install the add on for nvda to see the synths You can get back to me if you are unsure where to find the add on.

It's a balancing act. You have to set the rate in the control panel such that it is acceptable for nvda but not too fast for narrator; assuming, of course, that you use Narrator at all.

Would increasing the speed in control panel correspondingly increase NVDA’s highest speed?

I know of no way to increase the speed higher than "rate of 100."
Yours is a common complaint. I'd submit a suggestion that the top rate be increased significantly via the Feedback Hub, then post the link to same here for folks to be able to upvote it.
It amazes me how many screen reader users can understand a speech rate that leaves most of the rest of the world scratching their heads (including me)! But I also get why that's an incredibly valuable skill to develop.

psychology of adultery has been falsified by conventional morals, which assume, in monogamous countries, that attraction to one person cannot co-exist with a serious affection for another. Everybody knows that this is untrue. . .
