Re: serious problem with nvda 2018.3 with firefox

I was responding to zahra's message, the one immediately under mine.  Since she uses XP, I wanted to know what version of Windows is on the machine she tested with.

Hi Gene,

I have used both the 32 bit and 64 bit with earlier releases of NVDA and never had any problems. This is with Windows versions from 7 through latest 10.  I am at a loss to explain this--since it is  the first time I have ever experienced any issues with Firefox quantum or otherwise.

Are you saying you tested it on a Windows 7 machine?  and is it the 64 bit Firefox or the 32 bit Firefox?  A lot of people are using Quantum 64 bit firefox on Windows without these crashes.

even i tested firefox 61.01 32bit version of firefox with many
versions of nvda 2015.3, 2016.1, 2016.3, 2016.4, 2017.1, and 2017.2
and firefox crashed for me.
it crashed even when openning simple websites without scripts.
i believe that firefox quantum is not usable for screen readers and i
use 52.9esr forever by the grace of God.
