Re: NVDA with Spybot and Mozilla

hi, me too.
i have firefox 52 and never update it.
you can do uncheck automatic update, in tools, options, advance,
update and set firefox to never check for update. as i did.
also, you can remove maintenance service in control panel add remove
programs or programs and features.
i also, did this task in about:config to be sure never update for firefox!
although i have windows xp and fortunately updating to firefox quantum
is not possible on xp.
but unfortunately github became a little unsupported with firefox 52.
for example: i cant follow nvda milestones anymore or edit my written comments.

It won't replace your antivirus package, but Spybot - Search & Destroy can
provide an important extra layer of security, helping you to detect and
remove even more malware

I suspect that will be the view of reliable sources you check. I don't know
anything about this source, but it looks reliable to me.

Hello Group,

To follow up with Gene and others:

I am using FF version fifty-two presently.
Again, I want to stay with this, and turn off the occasional notices
to update to FF 63 or whatever the numeric. I am not sure how to do
that or if I can?

Here is the link implying Spybot 2.7, which is on my computer,
contains anti-virus. My comment follows.
Here comes 2.7 - Spybot Anti-Malware and Antivirus : Spybot Anti ...

May 3, 2018 - This is the new Spybot – Search & Destroy 2.7.64. We are
proud to present a new version of Spybot – Search & Destroy that will
give you not only new features, but better security and faster scans.

Comment: I am in search of an easy to use AV program and found Avast
difficult to run to install. I am not happy with Microsoft Security
Essentials, and AVG is difficult to update on my own as a blind
person. Thanks.
Best,
