Thank you Chris,

I downloaded the addon and got it to work. Being blind, I never have used a mouse before and it proves to be quite challenging and different to navigating with just the keyboard. For now I will make it work, still hoping for a more permanent fix of the problem though :)

I am unaware if this is an iTunes or NVDA issue. I do have something that may help. You could try downloading the following addon for NVDA.
http://addons.nvda-project.org/addons/goldenCursor.en.html
It may help. It is supposed to allow you to move the mouse using the keyboard.
