Yes but unfortunately I've tried the others too and still find it odd. So its obviously a link, so tab should find it whatever it is as you say, but only k does that is how  I know it has to be a link, but apparently sometimes an invisible link to tab.
I hope that is clearer, or not?

Pressing the letter K or shift-K moves between links but it does not move focus to other controls, such as buttons, edit fields, etc. Pressing tab or shift-tab moves to any actionable element, such as links, buttons, edit fields and other form controls.

There is  often some discrepancy on getting to the  go to basket link on Amazon where k will work but tab will not

Wow! Just wanted to say what a vast improvement NVDA 2018.4 beta 2 and FF is. Now this is the speed I’ve been waiting for since FF 57 came out almost a year ago. Thanks NV Access. I now use both JAWS and NVDA and JAWS 2019 at the moment was the winner in responsiveness. Now that’s changed in the new beta. Hope this will carry over to 2018.4 final build.
