Re: Donating/purchasing from the NVDA website

I'm sure the system used to be able to convert before you hit the button to commit. Has it too changed in Paypal just like the cryptic number on bank statements rather than the normal nvaccess did? It all seemed to alter when Paypal put up its conversion charges and changed its terms and conditions somewhere back in May.

I have not encountered anything like being thrown out though I have to say.

Hi Sile,

Firstly, thank you for your interest in donating or purchasing the training
materials, we really appreciate it!

My apologies for the problems you had. Everything on the site is listed in
Australian dollars since we are based in Australia so any donation or
payment needs to convert to Australian dollars at some point. Paypal does
this automatically when you purchase or donate. You can find out before
then roughly how much it will be by doing a search in Google (or your
favourite search engine) for something like "convert 30 aud to usd" or
"convert $30 australian to us", etc. (According to Googlle, $30 AUD =
roughly $21.68 USD currently).

Kind regards

Quentin.

Hello

I just crashed out of buying products and donating to NVDA because their
website frustrated me. I was stuck in australian dollars for currency
and in an australian address format. Then when I went to donate, it
took me out of my shopping cart and I lost the products that were in
there. So NVDA got nothing from me today. I am guessing I am not the
only person to be put off donating and purchasing because of these
website glitches..
