Re: Tifkitecnia Demos

Hi,

Well that's frustrating. $115 USD is quite a bit of money to shell out for just vocalizer voices. I wouldn't use them enough to pay that price.

thanks for the link.

Hi,

Okay, this is all new to me. I thought code factory was the only company that sold vocalizer voices hense why I didn't go with them.

Is there a link pointing to this other companie's offerings and how does licensing work?

Similarly, I'm lothed to throw the ridiculous amount of money at code factory for NVDA eloquence.

Nimer: You are actually expressing my feels about Code Factory. Having dealt with both, I choose Tiflotecnia. By the way, you got one thing wrong. Removing an authorization does put it back in your available activations to be used again. I bought my original add-ons from A. T. Guys and even they have a devil of a time getting Code Factory to respond to their requests for authorization resets. To keep this on topic, I am just glad I do now have a workable solution for high-quality voices for NVDA.

No working demo of the voices, no listening to sample of the voices working with NVDA, no new update with new voices or added or  fixed features in over two years... I'm sorry but no matter how good the customer support might be, this is not a company I want to throw my money at. If other users do, please have at it. I am glad some can make use of their product. I feel that it is a waste of money, and that this company is not one I would trust with a single additional dollar. I purchased this product a while back and I regret it very much. The licensing scheme is stupid, a user has no control to reset his or her own keys if needed without contacting the support, the driver has bugs which haven't been addressed, no new voices are supported even still after being promised an update for years no, and I am supposed to just blindly trust this company to keep supporting their products?

Again, anyone who knows me that this is not how I like to respond to individuals or companies on any list, and I generally have some amount of patience, reminding users of product development cycles and such, always looking for the value in a product or service. After so many broken promises and lack of follow-through, I am unable to put any weight behind this product, or the company represented.

Thanks.
