Hi,
probabily you are using "None" as level for Punctuation/symbol pronunciation.
Raise the level to "Some" or more with nvda+P then try to read emoji.


Make sure that the checkbox "Include Unicode Consortium data" in the voice setting dialog is enabled.

obviously, the emoji dictionaries from espeak.ng aren't available on NVDA 2018.4.
