Re: For all those who wanted the last xp version of nvda

I see. I read your message but I didn't see
the link or I thought it was something else, maybe a footer. Sorry for the
unnecessary request.
My clarification may have some value in case some
people think they can run the actual installer and get current versions that way
if they are running XP. This version has already been created but you
can't create your own.

Subject: Re: [nvda] For all those who wanted the last xp version of
nvda I know that it might annoy some doing it this way, but I see a question about it every week nearly and thought as I have it, I might as well share it. You can always strip out all add-ons etc, if you like. The folder it creates is a stand alone portable version though not sure if some synths might have been removed, so be careful but espeak is selected. Brian bglists@... Sent via blueyonder. But that isn't saying that you can use the installer on an XP machine to create a portable version. You can't. Also, Would you mind putting the portable version in Dropbox or however you want to share it? I can't run the installer here but I'd like to play with the portable version. If you want to play however. https://www.dropbox.com/s/30xp74rs7ttnz5w/nvdaxp%20last%20version.zip?dl=1 Just unzip it to a folder, it should create its own off of wherever you extract it from. Run the exe, or if you are really lazy, the nvda.bat file. You can then play with it and also install it if you so wish, but although its clear of nasty viruses or whatever, remember its not supported by nvaccess. Its old and only around because some of us still keep xp machines running. Note toolbar explorer is in it as aware many other older add ons. Brian bglists@... Sent via blueyonder.
