Re: TW BLUE was Re: [nvda] twitter?
Hi, yes, that’s exactly what I’m saying…you will see that tweet as the first in the list followed by the tweets that led up to it.

So that I’m clear, you’re saying following the steps of while on a tweet, by using the alt+windows key+C command to show a conversation and then navigating to that same conversation with alt+windows key+left arrow, you’re then able to see the replies to that tweet?
All this gets me is focus on that same tweet now in a conversations tab/buffer, but still with no means to access any sort of list of replies to that particular tweet.
Am I perhaps missing or misunderstanding this process?
Please advise
Cristóbal

Hmmm, interesting, and, I’m afraid, I don’t have an answer for you as I don’t remember having had to do anything specific to enable this. I’ve also just gone through all the settings and don’t see anything obvious which affects this.
The only issue I have with TW Blue is the delay in receiving DM’s but this is a Twitter API issue I gather rather than a specific TW Blue one.
Only thing I can suggest is writing to them via the Twitter address given previously and asking them for advice.

May be I’m just dense. I can bring up the conversation fine (alt_windows ke+C) and go to it via the alt+windows key+left arrow, but all that does is take me to the buffer where I can see the same tweet with no ability to see any replies to it.
What step am I missing?
I don’t’ recall ever being able to review replies to a tweet that isn’t my own in TW_Blue.

I’ve tried tweeting them myself but they never got back to me so obviously they aren’t interested in talking to people.

Try alt+Windows+c to bring up a conversation and alt+windows+shift+i to destroy the conversation buffer. that is, assuming you're using Windows 10. If not, the keystrokes are different. Alt+windows+k will bring up the keystroke editor, where you can either edit the keystrokes or simply look at them, then hit escape when you're finished if you're just looking at them, and the save or ok button if you edit them. Again, though, that's with using Windows 10. I don't use the graphical user interface or the menus much so I can't shed any light on how to bring up a thread or conversation that way.

For both of your questions I'd give the same answer. I'm not aware of any way to see a thread (nor replies to a specific tweet) using TWBlue.
It'd be a very nice feature, though, what makes me consider talking to the guy programing it for now and see if he'd accept our suggestions.

Two questions on TW-Blue.
How does one access a thread? Say if someone retweets a thread, I can’t figure out how to go to it. The most I can do is search for that person’s user handle, go to their timeline and hunt for it there, but even then, it’s not really a thread as much as going down their timeline.
The second question is how do you view replies to a tweet? I know there’s a view conversation and that’ll place the selected tweet in the search listview tree at the bottom, but even then, there’s really nothing there. I can open the tweet with the shift+control+V command, but that just shows the tweet info. No replies.
I’ve also been thinking of giving OpenTween a try, but thought I’d try to figure out these pretty basic features in TW_Blue first.

I'd suggest updating TW Blue because certain API calls no longer work from Twitter because Twitter has shut them down and did a bunch of other things to put a strangle hold on their API. If you don't update TW Blue I fear you will start to have countless bugs. Also, TW Blue is developed by blind people so it will always remain accessible to NVDA and other screen readers. What I've been trying to figure out, partly for an investigative article and partly because I am curious, is, why window eyes was not released as open source after the company was bought out. Anyway, upgrade your TW Blue.
