Hi,

Just some random thoughts here in no particular order.

NVDA isn't coming to iPhone, so let's put that to bed right now. It's apple.

The interesting thing here is that despite the claim to 'get over it', Windows on arm is actually a very real thing. NVDA would run on that - all be it emulating x86 - and thus performance would be drastically reduced, but there are laptops out there running snapdragon processors and windows 10 right now.

Given some time and effort (and, who knows, in 5-10 years arm processors might be even more mainstream in windows laptops) NVDA, at least for ARM processors, could be a real possibility. Though, as Brian rightly points out, proper keyboard input etc would be a huge thing on Android. I don't know the differences in coding for windows on ARM on Windows vs. Android, and I suspect they are quite different, however windows running native ARM applications in the near future might translate to NVDA having a slow transition? Maybe just parts of the essential screen reader to make response times quicker? I'm actually curious if anyone on the mailing list has tried NVDA on one of these snapdragon laptops to see what performance is actually like.

This is probably super messy code wise, too, and would be a complete disaster. But x86, while proven reliable, has been around for decades. Some very interesting (and probably frustrating accessibility wise) times are ahead for us.

This blog post, while dramatic, really points out what I am trying to get at here.

Aren't you a pessimist???!!!!

How many things you've seen happen that you wouldn't have ever dreamt of, and now they're here?

NVDA itself is one of them, isn't it?

Why not look at the world with a little more joy and a little less anger?(grin, smile, lol, rofl!)

Have a lovely week!

Is there anything at all that can be added to this subject?

It isn’t happening.  Get over it already! Or take it to the chat group.

    Did nvda work on them.

Given the radical difference in processor architecture and lack of a keyboard, for starters, it's highly doubtful.
